Simplified Performance Testing Using Anechoic Box + Sound Level Meter

Simple acoustic measurements can be performed by combining an HBK sound level meter with a Sonora anechoic box.
For more details, please refer to “Simple Performance Measurement Using an Anechoic Box and Sound Level Meter“.

We also offer demonstrations at the Sonora Technology headquarters showroom (Setagaya-ku, Tokyo), where an anechoic box and HBK measurement equipment are installed.
The anechoic box used is TYPE-1 (Effective size: W400 × L450 × H400).
For small test objects, it is possible to bring in samples for actual trial measurements.

Below is an example of a measurement method using a sound level meter.

Feed the sound level meter extension cable and microphone through the cable port.
Seal the cable port soundproof cover using bolts.
Set up the microphone and the test object inside the anechoic box.
Setup complete.
Close the door of the anechoic box and begin the measurement.
