- Is a construction license required for anechoic chamber installation work?
Acoustic Power Measurement
An anechoic chamber installation is considered a type of construction work.
To undertake construction work, a construction license is required under the Construction Business Act.
However, if the contract amount is less than 5 million yen (including tax) and the work falls under the category of “minor construction work,” a construction license is not required.
For anechoic chambers with a contract amount under 5 million yen, no construction license is necessary.
However, if the amount exceeds 5 million yen, operating without a license would constitute a violation of the Construction Business Act and may result in administrative penalties.
Furthermore, there are two types of construction licenses: “General Construction License” and “Specified Construction License.”
If the contract amount exceeds 5 million yen but is less than 40 million yen, a General Construction License is required.
If the total contract amount for subcontracted construction work exceeds 40 million yen, a Specified Construction License is necessary.
Summary
- Under 5 million yen: No construction license required
- 5 million yen to under 40 million yen: General Construction License required
- 40 million yen or more: Specified Construction License required
Moriya Corporation holds a valid construction license.
